Departure dinner for three senior couples April 2018

A departure dinner with testimonies.  We will sorely miss these Senior Couples as they depart Denmark.  They have been diligent in their assignments and are truly loved by us, the missionaries, members and Danish people.

Elder and Sister Hall- served on the island of Bornholm as Branch President and wife
Elder and Sister Jenson- served as records retention missionaries in Copenhagen
Elder and Sister Shurtliff- served as Young Single Adult missionaries in Copenhagen

God bless these wonderful disciples!

Iceland Zone Conference April 2018

I received these pictures from our senior couples in Iceland.  President and I will be in attendance at the May Zone Conference.  I will post more pictures then.
I do know that these elders are seeing many miracles and seeing the fruits of their labors.  We couldn't be more proud of their diligence and endurance.

These elders are blessed with wonderful missionary couples who feed them deliciously...

"Thirty-day-in" training/My Plan- April 2018

After our newly arrived missionaries have been in the land for thirty days, we bring them to the mission home for a three day training.  We bring them, and their trainers in to catch them up to date on the trainings from Zone Conferences.   Subjects such as How to begin teaching, Epistles of the Lord, Improved finding, Charity, Repentance, etc.  This also gives us an opportunity to become better acquainted with our new missionaries.  We love this particular training!

I love these shoes.  They represent much diligence and hard-work in service for the Lord.

We begin with Kabobs
We begin training right after dinner.
Role playing is highly effective.  Practice, practice, practice!

Bedtime snacks...

A little relax time ...
...and a little friendly competition.

Breakfast comes early.  Traditional breakfast burritos.
Just thinking alike...

Homemade dinner of chicken enchiladas, crockpot refried beans, spanish rice, garlic breadsticks, salad and frozen pistachio dessert.

Traditional second day breakfast of Baked French Toast and eggs.

President and I train our most experienced missionaries who are preparing for departure.  They are counseled in My Plan on how to integrate their  well-practiced "becoming" goals with their new life goals.
More training from our assistants on Improved finding and more.

We bring the two groups together while Sister O'Bryant trains on "How to Love your mission".  Our most experienced missionaries provide a panel with much added wisdom.
Dominos Pizza is a favorite tradition before we attend a session at the Copenhagen temple.
Elder and Sister Jenson will be departing in just a few weeks.  They are loved and will be missed!

These Elders will depart in 9 weeks.  They have been faithful examples and will also be missed.
The temple is undergoing some outside construction...therefore our picture is in front of the church behind it.  Missions provide an amazing opportunity for growth.  With an attitude of submission, one can learn so much about the gospel and how to teach more effectively.  We have loved serving along-side the missionaries.  We, each, spend much effort through repentance and strive to become more Christ-like.  The gospel is true, The Lord leads His work, and the Denmark Copenhagen Mission is blessed.  We love you missionaries!  Thank you for your faithfulness.
