"Thirty Days in the Land" and "My Plan" training-May 2017

The Training Missionaries and their Trainers arrive Tuesday evening for snacks (or sometimes Kebabs) before we begin training.  The mission home is currently undergoing some construction downstairs.  Therefore we were not able to play ping pong, but we still had a great time.
Breakfast at 7:30A of traditional breakfast burritos;)

After clean up and sacred study time, we are gathered and ready for a day of training.  President takes the most effective training from the last year and brings these missionaries up to date:  1) Becoming a self-sufficient PMG missionary  2) Using time wisely  3) Teaching for understanding  4) We invite, They commit, We follow-up  5) Becoming Epistles of the Lord  6) Repentance  7) Improved finding  8) Loving your mission.
We appreciate these missionaries for their talents.  Elder Saviano accompanied the hymns for the meeting.
White handbook training...(in Danish)
Language training.
Assistants training on striving for "The perfect day".
Role playing...

Traditional McDonalds lunch.

Per request:  Homemade enchiladas, Refried beans, spanish rice...

Homemade strawberry pie and ice cream for dessert.
Early traditional breakfast of Baked French Toast before we head to Copenhagen for another day of training.

You can imagine it's not easy for 16 elders to shower (with one shower) and show up on time for breakfast.  But they do their best:)
They are great examples of being "ready to serve, not to be served".

Since our assistants are both part of the "My Plan" today, our zone leaders took over the training for the "Trainee" Training.

President and I train on "Enduring to the end" and "My Plan" for easier adjustment after the mission.  I must say that this group of 20 is going to be sorely missed.  It's not easy losing so many of the most experienced, dedicated and most effective missionaries.  We have truly loved these humble disciples.  Tears were definitely a part of this meeting today:(

Elder and Sister Johnson are our new office couple.  We can't say enough about our appreciation for these wonderful dedicated senior missionaries.
Traditional Dominos Pizza lunch.
Perfect ending to a three day training in the Copenhagen Temple.
We couldn't find anyone to walk by a take a picture...so THANKS President:)
Such a beautiful time of year in Denmark.
Tulips everywhere we look.  We can't help but feel the blessings of working alongside such dedicated missionaries, senior and young, and in such a beautiful country with such rich ancestral heritage.  We love the Denmark, Copenhagen mission!
