Thanksgiving in Iceland

We took the family history training sisters with us to Iceland.  Needless to say, they were pretty excited!  it was the first time sister missionaries have ever been in Iceland to our knowledge.  The Elders were a little...shall we say, nervous...but the members just embraced these sisters and even shed a few tears when meeting them.  The sisters trained the elders as well as the members.  They pray that sister missionaries will eventually be called to their country.

We arrived to the church at 8:45A to find the elders busy shoveling the drive and walkways.  The sun rises at 10:30A

The sisters trained on missionary work through family history.

Transfers were announced.  Elder Stewart and Elder Geslison will be opening a new area 6 hours north of Reykjavik, called Akureyri.  They are both very excited to go there.

Here in Iceland, with only 8 Elders, they eat very well.  Our senior missionaries take very good care of them.

We are in LOVE with Iceland, and especially these fine missionaries.
