September Zone Training Roskilde

We begin our training by celebrating birthdays. The zone leaders are included so Elder Hendriksen isn't the only elder standing in front. Elder Hendriksen is our only Danish Elder called to Denmark on the mission.  He has the added task of improving missionary Danish by correcting us, helping us understand the Danes better and how to embrace the Danish winter.  He has the talent of spreading joy wherever he goes.
The danish birthday song is lively with chosen imaginary instruments of all kinds.
Hearing the danish testimony of Sister Hollbrook.
Danish testimony of Sister Downs
Training from our Sister Training Leader on the spiritual purpose of improving our language skills.

Our Zone leaders training on the Danish language.  We take D&C 90:11 seriously.  Our new standard is to speak Danish from 9A-9P.

President training on the Book of Mormon, a spiritual witness as well as a scholarly witness.  Sister O'Bryant trained on the history of Joseph Smith, sharing personal experiences while living in Kirtland, Ohio.

He addressed antimormon philosophies.  He trained on what he calls the "First Test"- do you feel the spirit?, as well as the "Second Test"- Does it bring you closer to Christ?
We showed an excellent video entitled, "A New Day for The Book of Mormon" from BYUtv.

We were favored with an inspiring musical medley of Restoration Hymns.
No homemade cookies this time since President and Sister O'Bryant were on the road a week before zone training began.  However the Danish Pastry never disappoints!  I can only say that we are so grateful to have returned to Denmark after two weeks away.  If possible, we appreciate Denmark, the people and these missionaries even more.  We stand in amazement as we watch them submit to the Lord.  They listen carefully and desire to become more Christ-like.  We love these missionaries.  We are humbled to be working by their side in a marvelous work.
